Who we help
Each year, we have the fortunate, yet difficult job of deciding which agencies we are able to fund. In doing so, we always try to keep in mind the three key building blocks of: health, education, and financial stability. The agencies we support must somehow be improving the community at large in one of these areas. In 2011, The UWWEC will award over $325,000 in grant funds to 28 area agencies that have a tremendous impact on our community.
If you are a 501(c)3 who would like to apply for funding in 2012, applications will be available in September. For more information, please contact Casey Ballard.
In addition to the 28 agencies we are funding, the UWWEC has set aside an emergency fund for which all area 501(c)3 organizations are eligible to apply year round. This fund was created to allow the United Way to be able to better respond to the immediate needs of our community. Applications are available by contacting Casey Ballard.
