who we are

The United Way of West Ellis County seeks to create a positive environment by providing opportunities for all to experience a better life.  Our mission is to support local organizations who advocate the three key building blocks of education, income and health.  Currently, we support 28 different non-profit agencies that serve the residents of West Ellis County by awarding $325,000 in grants. 

The UWWEC is an entirely local organization.  The money raised here is put directly back into West Ellis County.  It is governed by a local Board of Directors and money is awarded to agencies based on the local needs in this community.
